Responsibilities

Be involved in Project and function as an SME in designing and implementing SAP solutions in an S/4 HANA environment. Develop solutions using COPA & BI, in working closely with the Business Analysts & cross functional teams. Migrate cost-based COPA to account-based COPA with cost of goods component split. Deploy of COPA Marginal accounting and user adoption of other native SAP reporting tools. Analyze existing Value Fields (P/L Lines), identify the gaps, and utilize new value fields. Evaluate each PL Account and its nature of expenses and propose mapping other COPA value fields to right nodes in the P/L statement. Evaluate existing COPA Characteristics (KPI), identify the gaps, and utilize new characteristics. Review and propose new COPA derivation rules to ensure every P/L line items get into COPA into right node under right product segment. Review the current cost center set ups including the cost center category, hierarchies to ensure CCA is in line with COPA for direct and indirect costs. Review the current Profit center set up including the hierarchies to ensure PCA is in line with COPA for all type of revenues. Review and redesign the current business processes as it relates to COPA/Reporting, suggest best practices to utilize COPA for P/L reports. Configure and Construct COPA Summarization levels for faster retrieval of KE30 reports. Identify opportunity to leverage planning and forecasting functionality in COPA. Set up direct data feed from COPA to BITS and other third party applications. Set up Validations and Substitutions to direct the FI ledger to pass values to COPA. Familiar with LTMC for GL upload with COPA segments embedded in Universal Journal. Train end users to maintain and reconcile the data between FI and COPA. Set up PEC calendar tasks that applies to COPA and its reconciliation. Travel/relocation required as jobs to be performed at various unanticipated locations throughout the United States.   • Education: Must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related, or any Engineering.

  • Experience: Must have at least 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, Systems Analyst, Programmer Analyst or related.

Special Skills

  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in 3 of the following: SAP BI Tools, S4 HANA Studio, S/4 ABAP, Report Writers/Painters/Forms, LTMC in embedded Universal Journal.
  • Must also have at least 5 years of experience in 2 of the following: 1) Migrate cost-based COPA to account-based COPA with cost of goods component split. 2) Deploy of COPA Marginal accounting and user adoption of other native SAP reporting tools. 3) Configure and Construct COPA Summarization levels for faster retrieval of KE30 reports.
